Slow News Day In Japan As Cartoon Character Gets Appointed To Government

Doraemon, the Japanese cartoon cat, has been appointed as 'anime ambassador', or at least a short person in a Doraemon suit has, according to various news sources we have seen on the internet.

Here's the evidence:

They clearly took the easy route here. We typed 'anime' into Google images and got about five pictures of naked big boobied women... (safe search is off link is here) why didn't they choose her as their ambassador?
