family in the small Chilean village of Angol must have assumed the worst when
their 81 year old relative was discovered unconscious.

is a good age, they must have guessed.
So,
rather than call a doctor, they assumed he was dead; they called a funeral home.
The
funeral home came and took him away.

Carrasco, however, was not dead, he was just unconscious.
He
woke up during the wake that his family were holding in his honor.
When
he woke up it is reported that he asked for a glass of water.
A
local radio station apologized to their listeners for reporting his death.
