Is Vera Dudas' pickled cucumber the oldest pickled cucumber in the world?
She
claims that it is, and has applied for recognition to the Guinness Book of World
Records.
The
cucumber was pickled by Vera's mother-in-law when her son, and Vera's husband,
was born.
Vera's
husband, Pavao, born in 1930, would have been 76 this year, but the pickle has
outlived him.
The
pickle has sentimental memories for Vera who remembers it throughout her entire
married life.
Vera
has now insured the pickled cucumber.
