Sarah Zabolotny stole a rug from Upshur County Courthouse after turning up to pay a parking ticket.

The offense was caught on surveillance cameras which recorded Zabolotny folding up the 8-foot long rug.

As the court already had her address and telephone details that she gave them when she paid off her parking ticket, finding her was easy.

Police simply called at her home and asked for the rug back.

She was sent to jail for 5 days for petit larceny.
