Germany, Cologne: A robbery in a newsagents led to confusion when the person being held-up couldn't understand what the robber was saying.

The 24-year-old cashier thought the robber had just wrapped himself up too snuggly because of the cold, she couldn't understand a thing he was saying.

But she quickly got the point when he pushed his way behind the counter and pointed a gun at her.

The squeezy-faced robber got away with $1700 cash.
