Germany Invades Poland, World War Two Begins | Just
before dawn on this day, Germany sends 5 divisions with 1.5 million troops over
the boarder into Poland without a formal declaration of war. The Nazi's then proceeded
to bomb Warsaw, the capital, and other cities. Both
Great Britain and France have mobilized their forces against Germany. Later
in the day the British Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain, gave an ultimatum
to Germany to withdraw their troops from Poland or war will be declared.
