1964 Jack Ruby Sentenced To Death In the Electric Chair

Jack Ruby killed Lee Harvey Oswald, the alleged assassin of John F Kennedy. The jury of eight men and four women deliberated for two hours and 19 minutes.

Ruby had pleaded not guilty to the murder even though it had been shown on live television. He was lead away to the cells pending an appeal.
