Beatle George Harrison's House In Drugs Raid | The
police, led by a Sergeant Pilcher (who was apparently jailed in 1972 for planting
drugs), ransacked Harrison's house looking for drugs. Reportedly
Harrison, told police: "You
needn't have turned the whole bloody place upside down. All you had to do was
ask me and I would have shown you where I keep everything." Harrison
and his wife were able to convince the court that the hash was for their own personal
use and were fined £250. |

Paul McCartney Married Linda Eastman | George
Harrison was unable to attend the event (see above) which was watched by hundreds
of well wishers outside Marylebone Register Office. McCartney, 26, was the last
bachelor Beatle, and the young fans were upset. The
couple had met two years earlier when Eastman, 27, photographed the Beatles in
America. |
