USA: The FBI began it's operations on this day, tasked to solve the problem that the Chief Examiner had at Department of Justice with prosecuting crime across state lines.

On it's first day, what would become the FBI was actually a team of just 10 employees taken from the Secret Service.

A year later there were 34 investigators and it was named the Bureau of Investigation. Soon the number would exceeded 300.
