1997 Princess Diana Dies In Car Accident

The crash happened at 12:25 am on a notorious Paris underpass, Pont de l'Alma, as the driver seemingly attempted to evade paparazzi in pursuit.

Her companion, Dodi Fayed, and the driver, Henri Paul, also died.

Diana's bodyguard, Trevor Rees Jones, survived with serious injuries (he was the only one wearing a seat belt).

Diana died at 3am, aged 36.

The crash is currently being investigated by a British team said to be keen to get to the bottom of some of the conspiracy arguments.
