Dude, Where's My Car?
Studio executives summary / pitch
Two loveable/cute pot head slackers wake up to discover they have forgotten what they did the day before... like the kids do these days... sigh... High Five's for loads of naked young flesh...
Short plot summary

Jesse Richmond (Ashton Kutcher) and Chester Greenburg (Seann William Scott) are two pot heads who wake up to find they have forgotten what happened the day before. On leaving the house they find they have lost Jesse's car. Where is it? Then strange things start to happen... like a babe who wouldn't normally talk to them waves at them and takes Jesse's hand and places it on her breast. She tells them they had a load a money the night before. On their adventure our hero's meet:

  • A transsexual who says she gave them a suitcase of money
  • A group of nerds in pop wrap suits
  • A gang of babes in tight leathers
  • Two European guys in tight leathers
  • A gang of Jocks

They are all after the Continuum Transfunctioner, but what is it? And can our heroes find it, save the universe and get gifts for their girlfriends? It's likely.

What our panel of critics thought

"Of its type this movie is simply brilliant. It is a magnificent movie spoof montage. Oh, how popular culture envelopes our youth today. Bravisimo! Almost a classic (not in the classic strand because of the jokes about the blind kids)."

"One of the best pop culture lampoon movie in years, as long as you are not a black Pizza delivery guy."

"Apart from the jokes about the Chinese, this is a brilliantly anti-PC movie. Having said that, there is probably at least one bad taste joke to upset everyone in this movie."

"One of the best male-on-male kisses in Hollywood motion picture history. At last two Hollywood hunks use their tongues!"

Quotable quotes (real)

"Hey what does my [tattoo] say?" "Sweet! What does mine say?" "Dude... What does mine say..." etc

"A dolphin could delivery pizzas better than you two!"

"Hey it's Mrs CrabbleMan."

"AND THEEEEENNNN...?"

Please tell me the ending

The Continuum Transfunctioner is actually in Chester's Rubic's Cube which he manages to complete. The good guys turn out to be the two European muscular dudes. The universe is saved and gifts for the girlfriends include a necklace which make their breasts bigger.

Why is this movie in the Popcorn strand and not the Classic one?

This movie is defiantly anti-pc and we found the blind kids joke too much. That aside the movie is brilliant and the movie references pleasing.

If I were to watch this on video/DVD how best should I sit?

In the Chester and Jesse totally chilled position of "hey dude, whose that guy who keeps coming in to piss in our pot plants?"

Could this be made into a children's cartoon show?

This movie is Bill and Ted but with a can't remember what we did yesterday plot point. Take out the f-words and Scooby Doo fans would love this movie.

How funny is this film?
This movie is hilarious in places. The Ostriches is a classic moment. There are a number of movie references throughout.
Are there any hernia popping moments of hysteria in this movie?

1) The Ostriches - almost in movie classic moments territory.

2) The Tattoos - Sweet/Dude

3) Chinese Woman - And then...

If you had to choose just one pudding flavour what would it be?

Chocolate.

Do you have any guilt feelings when you laughed at the blind kids sketch?

We laughed and, a day later, asked for forgiveness from our God.

If someone told you they had watched this movie 100 times how would you react?

Hey Dude, get better pot!

Would your pets like this movie?

Dogs will be impressed by the dog's laying dead stunt and also be impressed with the smoking scene, even though it is really clear that the dog is mechanical for that scene.
