About theVoiceofReason.com

theVoiceofReason.com can trace it's roots to one of the earliest web based news satire sites in the world. (A friend actually told me about theOnion.com after the original site was up for about 5 months.)

The site began it's life in 1995, at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, when my login was GPS3, Gary Smith (I studied Computer Science - I got a 2:1 (Hons)).

In 1999 I bought the URL theVoiceofReason.com, slightly amazed that nobody else had done it...

The first edition appeared in May 2000. Originally the site was in Shockwave format.

Easter 2001 the site changed to HTML format to maximize it's search engine prospects.

In December 2001 the first comedy movie reviews went out, thus beginning the development of the site into a diverse comedy and entertainment site.

The aim is to build a genuinely funny web site not afraid of tackling the issues of the day. It attempts to be equally offensive to everyone.

All content is written by Gary Smith.

theVoiceofReason.co.uk was started in March 2001 and at the time was the first rolling news satire site we were aware of in the UK/Europe.
