The
Munchkins from the 1939 movie The Wizard Of Oz, have finally
got their own Hollywood star, it is claimed.
This
follows a high profile campaign supported by Steven Spielberg,
Mickey Rooney and George Lucas.
Unfortunately,
due to the writers strike, the name of 'The Munchkins' was
not allowed to be written in the star the Munchkins have
been waiting for for the last 68 years...

Writer's
strike stops anyone writing 'The Munchkins' in this
Hollywood star

Seven
of the nine Munchkins travelled across the country to attend
the official unveiling of what they were told was their
star but in fact could have been anybody's.
The
Munchkins are reportedly the only surviving members of the
cast of The Wizard of Oz. Some attended the unveiling waving
lollipops and wearing funny costumes even though they were
in their 80's.
No
writer was paid for this story.
