has uncovered a grisly plot to steal Heather Mills-McCartney's
false leg as she goes shopping for Christmas presents in
London.
The
plot was actually uncovered weeks before Christmas but we
sat on the story as we waited to see if anything interesting
happened.
Our
camera crews followed her throughout her various shopping
expeditions for a month.
No
attempt to steal her prosthetic limb were, thankfully, made.
Had
her leg been stolen it would be yet another example of the
increasing incidence of false-limb theft in London.
Thefts
of false legs are still relatively rare, with thieves preferring
to take the easier to steal-and-then-run-away-with false
arms.
Stealing
a false leg generally involves a complicated rugby-type
tackle.
Prosthetic
limbs can be melted down and made into other things.
