We
have been asked by our lawyers to apologise as convincingly
as possible for a story we ran yesterday in which we succeeded
in completely confusing the pop singer Michael Jackson,
with the most senior member of the British Army, General
Sir Michael Jackson.
We
accept that this error was caused by nothing less than sloppy
reporting on our part, and we are relieved that this is
the first time anyone has ever called us on it.
Michael
Jackson is currently on trial for alleged child abuse charges.
He had his first day in court on Friday. The other one
is not, and did not.
Michael Jackson's troops are accused of urinating on Iraqi
prisoners and rifle butting them in the genitals. Michael
Jackson gave a press conference condemning the pictures,
published in a UK national paper. The other one does
not have young men and women serving under him.
Only
one Michael Jackson is facing 70 years in prison for these
offences.
We
hope that clears it all up once and for all.
