Berlin:
A museum with the world's largest selection of old Fokkers
is to appeal to the public for assistance.
The
German museum has fallen on hard times and is threatened
with having to sell some of its Fokkers off if the financial
situation does not improve.
Many
of the 58 Fokkers in the museum have been given names by
enthusiasts. These names include Mother, Father, Uncle,
Stupid, Evil, Ben, Lazy and Pussy.

History
of the Fokker
The
planes were named Fokker by the Germans as a psychological
device to demoralise English people during the war.
English
children were regularly slapped when they said: "Mum,
here comes another Fokker", or "The Fokker came
over from that way", or "It was a fast Fokker
and it came in from the East," or "Stop Fokking
hitting me I'm telling you the Fokking truth, Mum."
